Roma Matrix

Since April 2013 I have been working on Roma Matrix, a pan-European project which aims to challenge racism and promote the inclusion of Roma communities across Europe. As part of a research team made up of academics from the University of Salford and the University of York, we have been investigating how the National Roma Integration Strategies (NRIS) and other policies focused on Roma inclusion and integration are being implemented and delivered across Europe. Over the past two years I have travelled across Europe conducting interviews with a range of individuals and organisations from national policy makers, and local authorities to NGOs and Roma community organisations. As part of this project I also conducted  an analysis of UK policy and its impact on the lives of Gypsy, Traveller and migrant Roma communities.  You can read the Executive Summary of the final research report and the UK country report by clicking on the images below:
